Most Rev. Adebola Ademowo, the Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion), has vouched for President Muhammadu Buhari – whom he says will eventually turn things around in the country.
While speaking with journalists on Saturday, he expressed belief in the ability of the president to tackle the menace of Fulani herdsmen.
According to Ademowo, President Buhari is not a leader that would remain indifferent to acts of wickedness in any part of the country.
He was quoted to have said: “President Muhammadu Buhari is not someone that will condone wickedness. He will not condone anything evil. He is not silent.”
Ademowo also lamented the fact that many churches have adopted and are disseminating doctrines other than that of Jesus Christ.
“Daily, we witness the challenges of deviations and peregrination totally different from what Christ, the early church fathers and political builders of our nation shed their blood and laid down their lives to preserve.”
“The Church is facing the challenges of proliferation of churches, homosexuality, high rate of divorce and teenage pregnancies. “Also, we have the challenge of prosperity gospel, political correctness and corruption especially perpetuated by Christians and non-Christians including the political class.”
