Buhari’s Chief of Staff allegedly received N500m to help MTN reduce fine

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari has allegedly collected N500 million from telecommunications company MTN to help reduce the fine imposed on it by the Federal Government, SaharaReporters reports.

According to the online news medium, concrete evidence that the shady activity took place has been presented to the President.

It was reported that the Chief of Staff when confronted with the evidence claimed he was helping the All Progressives Congress raise money for the Bayelsa State Governorship election.

The President was reported to have asked him if he was the party chairman.

Kyari had previously been enmeshed in a controversial alleged corrupt practice.

He was said to have collected money from Jide Omokore, a businessman who was allegedly involved in corruption in the oil sector for a ‘soft landing’.
