[The Church Blog] We have just one question for The Experience team #TE12

The Experience 2017 Church Culture

We waited for this moment all through the year. As soon as the official countdown began, we could hardly hide our excitement. The Experience has become a legacy as the worship event that other worship events aspire to be.  When it debuted in December 2006, it was mostly thought of as an overexcited gathering of Christians who would soon lose their spark, but year in year out, the light shines brighter.

In the midst of the high hopes and enthusiasm, The list of headlining ministers for the Experience 2017 was released and it was met with a rather ambivalent response from adherents. Some were excited and others felt the event was soon losing its peculiarity as a worship event.

The reason behind the decline in enthusiasm is not far-fetched

The line up of ministers for the experience featured all of the faces we know. They are the faces we have gotten familiar with in the past few years; From Tope Alabi to Chioma Jesus to Nathaniel Bassey, Micah Stampley, Donnie Mc Clurkin and others. All the ministers at this year’s Experience have been on the Experience stage at least once. They are ministers who have established themselves as successful in the gospel music industry for years.

The line up presented an almost predictable worship experience. Although spontaneous and spirit filled, we can almost predict the performance of every single person in the lineup.

Here’s an idea of what people are saying about the lineup

In all, we have just one question for The Experience Team; When will we start featuring new local artistes?
