D’banj speaks on Tonto Dikeh’s contract situation with his record label

In her first post-baby delivery interview with Goldmyne TV in March, actress, Tonto Dikeh revealed that she had moved on from D’banj’s DKM record label.

Speaking to YNaija at MTV Base’s media parley on Tuesday, D’banj was quizzed on the subject and he explained the contract situation of the singer which he said has not been terminated by anyone.

D’banj said that due to the advancement of the Nigerian music industry, he called his whole team including label mates to a meeting and told each member they had to work hard in 2016.

Besides this, he said the last time they spoke, Tonto Dikeh didn’t say anything about terminating her contract, apart from her desire to work on a foundation.

“You know when a woman is married, it is a different ball game. I have not seen her since the marriage and of course now the child as she’s been out of the country.”

“Before that, the last she told me was she wanted to work on a foundation and she did a lot of foundation things. So I believe after she comes back, she might now decide what she wants to do,” Dbanj told YNaija.

Tonto Dikeh signed on to D’banj’s label – DB records – in November 2014.
