While we all focused our attention on the governorship elections and announcements of results over the weekend, the Vodafone Ghana Music awards happened.
The awards ceremony took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Ghana on Saturday, April 11, 2015 and singer, Yemi Alade was one of the few Nigerian artistes who graced the event.
The singer was nominated in the Best African Artiste category but she lost to Patoranking. However, she was the cynosure of all eyes at the event with her Peach low-neck, front slit-gown courtesy of celebrity fashion designer and stylist, Tyty Signature.
The Mavins who were nominated alongside Yemi Alade however failed to show up. When asked on Twitter why they stayed away, Don Jazzy went straight to the point – he said the organisers couldn’t fly his entire team of 10 members to Ghana.
