Here’s everything you missed in entertainment yesterday and others that unravelled while you slept – and are still buzzing today.
Cardi B, Offset welcome baby daughter

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the rapper revealed her child’s name is Kulture Kiari Cephus. The baby was born Tuesday.
Cardi B, 25, real name is Belcalis Almanzar, broke the news of her first baby by posting an artistic nude portrait of herself surrounded by flowers. The maternity photo is similar to one Beyonce took when she announced she was pregnant with twins, Sir and Rumi Carter.
Chadwick Boseman sets new film
Chadwick Boseman has a new project on his table. The Black Panther star is slated to star in and produce STXfilms’ action thriller 17 Bridges.
17 Bridges will star Boseman as a disgraced NYPD detective. When his character is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, he is given a chance at redemption. In addition to Boseman, Boseman’s writing and producing partner Logan Coles and Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo will also act as producers on the film.
TV director Brian Kirk (Luther, Game of Thrones) will serve as a director on the film, directing from a script written by Adam Mervis (The Philly Kid). Filming is scheduled to begin in September.
“Chadwick Boseman’s razor-sharp instincts and undeniable charisma captivated millions of people around the world in Black Panther, and Joe and Anthony Russo have breathed a new energy into the action genre with films like Avengers: Infinity War,” said STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson in a statement.
RoboCop Returns!
RoboCop co-creator Ed Neumeier is working on a new sequel, called RoboCop Returns, with Neill Blomkamp now signed to direct for MGM. Neumeier will executive produce with the other original robo-writer, Michael Miner.
“The original definitely had a massive effect on me as a kid,” Blomkamp told Deadline, who broke the news.
“I loved it then and it remains a classic in the end of 20th Century sci-fi catalogue, with real meaning under the surface. Hopefully, that is something we can get closer to in making of a sequel. That is my goal here…What draws me now is someone searching for their lost identity, taken away at the hands of people who are benefiting from it, and seeing his memory jogged by events. That is most captivating. The other thing I am excited about is the chance to work again with Justin Rhodes. He has added elements that are pretty awesome, to a sequel that was set in the world of Verhoeven. This is a movie I would love to watch.”
Thai Cave Rescue film in the works

This is coming a day after Pure Flix Entertainment announced it was seeking the rights to do a movie on the rescue mission.
“Now You See Me 2” director Jon M. Chu and Ivanhoe Pictures are the latest in this line. Ivanhoe, an SK Global company, is currently in talks with the most senior officials in Thailand, both on provincial and national levels, about the rescue project. The company is also currently in talks with multiple studios that have shown interest in this project.
I refuse to let Hollywood #whitewashout the Thai Cave rescue story! No way. Not on our watch. That won’t happen or we’ll give them hell. There’s a beautiful story abt human beings saving other human beings. So anyone thinking abt the story better approach it right & respectfully.

Its a bit early 2truly discuss but the biggest lesson I learned frm making #CrazyRichAsians is that we must tell our stories especially the important ones so history doesnt get it wrong. This one is too important 2 let others dictate who the real heroes are https://t.co/ZmnSBFvPI3

We have the power to not only MAKE history but be the historians that RECORD it too. So that it’s told correctly and respectfully. Couldn’t just sit here watching how others would “interpret” this important story. https://t.co/kRv5k9plDU

Why did it take me 38 years to realize… we can fight back. https://t.co/AqmVANFVDN
