Wizkid is Africa’s best at the MTV EMAs

The Starboy won in the category, Best African Act where he was nominated alongside Olamide. Wizkid also got a place on the Best Worldwide Act list representing Nigeria, next to Ariana Grande for the US, Shawn Mendes for Canada and Zara Larsson for Sweden.

Other big winners of the night are Justin Bieber who won in the Biggest Fans category and Best Song for his successful track, Sorry from the Purpose album. Beiber beat Adele’s Hello and Rihanna’s Work in this category.

The MTV EMA held last night in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

In what was probably the most shocking win of the night, Aramide came upstage resplendent in gold and black as she picked up her award as the Best Female Artiste (West Africa).

The category had some of the biggest names in Africa, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Seyi Shay.

Lola Rae is on the DMW ship davido-and-lola-rae

Just a few days after she released her collaborative single with Davido, the singer has joined his record label, DMW.

Singer, Lola Rae will be the first female to be signed on to Davido’s record label which he set up after HKN records.

Other artistes on the team are Dremo and Mayorkun.

At a concert in Cleveland,  Hillary Clinton enlisted acts like Beyoncé, Jay Z, Chance the rapper and Big Sean to be part of her final weekend campaign before the US election tomorrow.

The couple urged voters to turn out en masse and make sure the best candidate wins the election.

Beyoncé said, “We have to think about the future of our daughters, our sons and vote for someone who cares for them as much as we do, If you are ready for freedom, make some noise.”
