Nollywood star Funke Akindele has once again demonstrated her prowess in the film industry with her latest release, Everybody Loves Jenifa. The film has achieved unprecedented success, grossing ₦206 million in its opening weekend and reaching ₦511 million within just 12 days of release.

Premiering on December 13, 2024, Everybody Loves Jenifa is a continuation of the beloved Jenifa franchise, which has captivated audiences with its unique blend of humor. The film’s remarkable box office performance has set new records, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood title of 2024 and the fastest to hit the ₦500 million mark.

The movie’s success isn’t confined to Nigeria alone. Internationally, it has made significant strides, becoming the first Nollywood film to surpass $100,000 in diaspora sales. This achievement highlights Funke Akindele’s influence in promoting Nollywood to the world.
