A stunning strike by Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was one of the highlights of a breathtaking game at Stamford Bridge.
The Game Week 5 match-up lived up to its hype of being one that would thrill football fans the world over.
Liverpool began the game on the back foot as the hosts were in control of the opening minutes of the game.
However, the Reds took the lead when an unmarked Dejan Lovren slotted in from a Coutinho cross in the 17th minute.
Liverpool made it two when Henderson scored a stunner in the 36th minute.
Chelsea fought back in the second half, and they were rewarded in the 62nd minute when Diego Costa pulled one back from a Matic assist.
The Blues launched several attacks in a search for an equaliser but Liverpool stood resolute as they claimed all three points.
#Henderson's strike though; can't watch this enough. It's still Chelsea 1 – 2 Liverpool https://t.co/qtFMFtFA0e
