Twenty people have been reportedly killed by Fulani herdsmen today following a wave of attacks on Gidan Gambo, Abaagu, Atabela, Assakio, Assahangwa, Adamu Agyo and host of other communities in the southern senatorial zone of in Nasarawa State.
Areas affected in the fresh attack by the suspected Fulani insurgents included Ikposogye, Lega Obi, Tudun Adabu, Mararaba Obi, Agwatashi, Deddere, Agwan Mamman, Agwan Hamidu, Agwan Sule, Ome and Adamu Agyo Fadama Buna.
Also affected in the previous attacks by the suspected Fulani insurgents were Company, Wayo, Arikiya, Agwan Usman, Angwan Gindiri, Angwan Ali, killing over 100 people.
Report from the Punch indicate that scores of houses were burnt in the coordinated attacks with millions of naira worth of properties destroyed.
Nasarawa has been a flashpoint of incessant violent fights between Fulani herdsmen and communities within the state.
We are yet to get an official confirmation of these recent attacks.
