A man named Yusuf Gulumbo on Facebook has shared a picture of persons who he claimed were IDPs at the Teachers village camp in Maiduguri coming back from the streets where he said they went to beg.

According to him, he was stepping out of the camp when he saw the IDPs coming from where they had gone to beg due to “severe hunger rocking them.”

He wrote: “26th August 2016. It’s exactly 5pm when I visited Teachers Village camp, to see on the plight of our people. To my outmost dismay when coming out I came across these IDPs of Kukawa just returning from begging due severe hunger rocking them.”
