Brazil’s golden boy Neymar, has revealed that he hopes to return to action when Barcelona play against Leon in the Joan Gamper Trophy match.
The 22-year-old has been out of action for weeks, since he fractured his back during Brazil’s quarter-final win over Colombia in the quarter-final of the 2014 World Cup.
Neymar will return to Barcelona for pre-season on August 5 and will be fit to play in the Gamper game.
“I’m slowly recovering from the injury. I’ll get to Barcelona 100 per cent,” he told reporters at a promotional event in Brazil.
“I want to have a good season and I’m looking forward to helping my team-mates get good results. I also want to contribute to the Brazil team.
“I’m confident of playing in the Gamper game on August 18.”
