Judge temporarily suspends Olisa Metuh’s trial

The ongoing trial of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh has been suspended by Justice Okon Abang.

Owing to the failure of the prison officers to produce Metuh in court on Tuesday, the judge temporarily put an hold on proceedings.

Justice Abang, evidently vexed, said he would no longer condone the practice of coming late to the court.

“The prison officials cannot keep holding this matter down, so tell them, this is the last time I will be standing a matter down for them.”

“It all depends on the attitude of the prison officials, if they make up their mind to be here before 9 am they will make it, unless they are used to coming to court late.‬ This matter has been reluctantly stood down to 10 am at the instance of the prosecution.”
