A young female suicide bomber has reportedly attacked a market in Potiskum.

The young girl was said to have detonated explosives strapped to her body in the market on Sunday, February 22.

Besides blowing herself up, five people were killed from the explosion, while 19 others were reported to have sustained various degrees of injury.

Local vigilante leader, Buba Lawan, who spoke to AFP, said: “So far, five people were killed with the girl while 19 others have been taken to hospital for injuries.”

Meanwhile, witnesses around the market says the suicide bomber may have been as young as 7-years-old.
