Mr. Saminu Aliyu-Kiri, a lecturer of the Bayero University, Kano, who was kidnapped on Thursday has regained his freedom, The Punch reports.

According to a statement issued by the management of the institution on Sunday Aliyu-Kiri who was kidnapped on his way from Ibadan had been reunited with his family.

The Director, Public Affairs of the university, Malam Ahmed Shehu, said the lecturer, regained his freedom on Friday.

Shehu refused to state whether any form of ransom was paid.
