Former South African President, Thabo Mbeki, and a former Nigerian military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, on Monday were in Kaduna to meet with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari, over the forthcoming general elections.
At the end of the meeting, which was held behind closed doors at Buhari’s office along Jabi Road, Kaduna metropolis Monday morning, neither the visitors nor Buhari spoke with journalists.
Mbeki and Abdulsalami left to the Kaduna airport to fly back to Abuja after a photo session, which marked the end of the over one hour meeting.
Mbeki and Abdulsalami had earlier met with President Goodluck Jonathan at Aso Villa on Sunday.
The two former leaders refused to speak to the media as well.
