It has been almost 4 years since Ajebutter22 debuted Anytime Soon, a collaboration album with Studio Magic. Seemingly satisfied leaving fans with sparse single releases and guest appearances spread carefully across the long wait for another studio magic—pun obviously intended. He teased with a solo project this year titled What Happens In Lagos but till yesterday morning, we only had “Lagos Big Boys” to show for it. “Ghana Bounce” is expected to feature on the album and helps listeners pass the time till the singer is ready to put out the tape for listeners.

“Ghana Bounce” adds a bit of diversity to the Nigerian mainstream music, and it feels like a breath of fresh air away from the ego-driven and materialistic side of popular songs that bombards our music. Ajebutter22 manages to maintain contemporary influences with a strikingly alternative style on the lustful dance number.
Ajebutter22 has show proficiency tackling pseudo-sociopolitical issues on “Omo Pastor” and “Bad Gang” but “Ghana Bounce” takes less dramatic theme of praising a love interest’s mesmerising dance. The humourous lyrics are just right to rescue him from outright sexualising his muse’s body and makes the song listen like an exhalation that is show to melt some hearts.
The lush instrumentals and Ajebutter22’s poem like lyrics give “Ghana Bounce” all the right attributes for sex playlist feature.
