NIgerians have been waiting to hear leader of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, Obiageli Ezekwesili speak today on BBC HardTalk on the issues aroun dthe missing Chibok girls, and the response of government to the citizen-led demand.
Just as and immediately after the interview was over, Nigerians took to Twitter to deliver their verdict, and it was mostly positive. We present our top pick of the tweets:
First, politician and publisher, Dele Momodu, set the tone:
@BBCHARDtalk Congratulations on having one of our icons in your studio! We’ve had a long history of repression & proud of Oby’s courage.
— Dele Momodu (@DeleMomodu) July 22, 2014
Then, once the interview started, the praise began to pour in:
Oby had a chance to take this government to the cleaners on BBC. She chose not to. I hope they recognize and respect her for that
— J #BringBackOurGirls (@omojuwa) July 22, 2014
Can’t lie if Oby gets a VP or President slot for any election in any year will def seriously consider quitting my job to join campaign.

Some wondered where the ‘haters’ went:
Yomi! RT @TheYomiKazeem: No shots from PDP voltrons yet? Either Madam Oby is doing an excellent job on Hard Talk or them no get light.
— Ifreke Inyang (@Ifreke) July 22, 2014
Some spoke of a particular ‘hater’:
The sound you’re hearing is Okupe tearing his response to Oby. He’d banked in an attack on the FG. Now he needs fresh papers

Of course, some were not impressed:
Oby Ezeks on @bbchardtalk full of story telling but when Steven asked for solutions she pointed to govt. He gave options she took none. Hmmm

“@zynnnie: This one is a lie sha. RT @ba55ey I have never been a politician. I went into government to offer my skill set -Oby Ezekwesili
— Shufflez (@Awesome_Stiv) July 22, 2014
The praise and worship continued:
@obyezeks we are proud of u Oby,together we shall receive this girls alive v soon.

I Think Nigerians Have a lot to Learn From Her (Oby) interview with BBCHardTalk….. The Talk Wasn’t HARD Atall.

And someone gave the final score:
Since God is the only one that doesn’t make a mistake I find madam Oby guilty of being too polite tonight. #BringBackOurGirls
