Social media has been buzzing recently on the issue of  @sugarbelly’s tweets as a guest on the No Holds Barred Interactive session (NHBi) on Twitter. The discussion was on “Why should my body count matter to my man? Gossip blogs and magazines have banked on this and many mouths are still wagging over her tweets (I don’t want to put the tweets here). She claimed to have slept with 13 men thus far and apparently her body count is 13. The babe certainly doesn’t give a damn about what anyone has to say about her tweets.

 

Before you cast a stone at her, cast the stone at your own self for being hypocritical and judgmental. Casting stones at her won’t solve a thing; condemning people doesn’t win them to think like you

I am not here to judge anyone neither am I going to discuss the morality or what not about her life. My concern is how she has been dissed since the blogs started ranting about it. I can bet 100% that if it was a guy that tweeted all that stuff, he would have been hailed for his sexual prowess. I even learnt that there was a guy as a guest on that same forum but there was no rants about his.  Yeah, no matter how I want to pinch myself that it’s not a man’s world, it’s a man’s world indeed. It’s a reality we women may have to live with forever.

 

To everyone who has called her all sorts of names from a whore to a bitch and all others, I have a word for you. In the Bible, there was a woman CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF ADULTERY. She was brought to Jesus by the scribes and Pharisees and they wanted her stoned. But Jesus lifted up himself and said unto them, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”. He stooped down again to write it on the ground. It was recorded that they which heard it being convicted by their own conscience went out one by one till Jesus and the woman was left behind.

Now, I am not hailing this lady for being a baddoski or whatever, all the naysayers should let her be. Even the hypocrites that their body counts is above 100 will be casting stones at her.

It’s the same way, a lady will be raped and she as a victim will be tagged the cause of the rape.

It’s the same way girls are told to remain chaste and the guys are never told that. Chastity should be a quality imposed on both parties; the males and the females.

Before you cast a stone at her, cast the stone at your own self for being hypocritical and judgmental. Casting stones at her won’t solve a thing; condemning people doesn’t win them to think like you. Even those with body counts of over a hundred will bring out their tongues and lash at her. After all, her actions are not causing harm to anybody like Boko Haram and ISIS.

Above all, what I learnt from this whole drama is that whatever information about yourself including your pictures which you put on social media has now turned public information from that moment. Be careful what you tweet about; your tweets defines you and your personality.
