Manny Pacquiao secured victory via a unanimous decision to reclaim the WBO world welterweight title in Las Vegas on Saturday defeating Jessie Vargas.
Pacquiao who has been away from the ring for the past seven months to focus on his new position as a Senator in his native country Philippines, won on all three scorecards, 114-113, 118-109 and 118-109.
Pacquiao expressed delight after his victory, saying, “I feel happy because I’m trying every round to knock him down. It’s why I’m always aggressive but not careless.
“I’m very careful to go inside because I know he’s going to counter me. I feel I can do more but my aim every round is to knock him out.”
