Plenary session commenced an hour ago at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
Thus far, the eagerly expected ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari, doesn’t appear to be in the agenda, just yet.
It is widely believed that Buhari had sent Senator Ita Enang with the ministerial list to the Assembly on Tuesday.
Wednesday’s plenary session however, started with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, reading a letter from the South West caucus of the All Progressives Congress.
The letter, which had been sent to the National Assembly months ago, is to nominate Senator Sola Adeyeye, as chief whip.
Minority Leader of the senate Godswill Apakbio raised a point of order, stating that President Buhari promised a ministerial list.
“The President had promised to announce his ministerial nominees today and the Senate President has finished reading the days announcements without it, why?.”
Acting leader of the senate, Senator Bala N’allah responded saying it was too early in the day and that the Senate President’s office is open until midnight.
Subsequently, Saraki ruled Akpabio out of order.
