Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, in Yola, Adamawa State has been rocked by a powerful explosion.

The explosion, which occurred at about 11:44 am on Thursday, is suspected to be from a bomb, Premium Times reports.

A witness, Ibrahim Bello, a resident of the area, was quoted to have said that the “blast is so powerful that all the glass windows and doors in our entire neighborhood have been destroyed.”

The Central Primary School, directly opposite the police station, where pupils were attending classes at the time of the explosion, is said to be in disarray as a result of the blast.
