At a thanksgiving service to mark his first anniversary in office, President Goodluck Jonathan solicited for the support of all Nigerians for his administration to achieve its transformation agenda.
The president also invoked the biblical analogy of the coming of Christ to explain the recent cases of terrorist attacks in the country. According to him, “The present terror attacks across the country came as a thief in the night.” He, however, assured Nigerians that the country cannot be disintegrated as a result of the waves of terror.
He urged all Nigerians to continue in prayer for the success of the government while government does its “best to satisfy the needs of all citizens.”
The president would address the nation in a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, the day which will mark exactly one year since he was officially sworn in as president.
