A man killed himself on the morning of Tuesday, 19 August, by walking in front of a train driven by his ex-girlfriend.

36-year-old Gary Wells was reportedly devastated after Diane MacDonald, 29, ended their relationship, which prompted him to step on the track till the train hit and killed him.

The couple had dated for 8years before she walked out on him three weeks ago.

MacDonald was unable to stop the train after seeing him on the track in Inverlochy, Scotland.

Meanwhile, his friends said the deceased had been struggling to cope with the breakdown of the relationship.
