Veteran Paralympic athlete, Eucharia Iyiazi on Thursday increased Team Nigeria’s medal tally to 12 at the ongoing 2016 Rio Paralympics after clinching bronze in the women’s F56/57 discus. Paralympics: Lauritta Onye wins gold in Shot Put event

Nigeria has clinched another gold medal at the ongoing Rio Paralympics games in Brazil. Team Nigeria got its latest medal in the women’s Shot Put event, through Lauritta Onye. Powerlifter, Rolland Ezuruike wins gold, breaks paralympics record (WATCH)

Just after female powerlifter, Latifat Tijani won silver, another powerlifter, Rolland Ezuruike has won gold in the men’s -54kg at the 2016 Rio paralympics. Ezuruike set a new record of 190kg. His first lift of 185kg broke the previous paralympic record before he extended it with his second lift of 190kg. Watch below:
