Seven suspects accused of terrorism, bombing and bank robbery were arraigned before the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The suspects; Usman Sani; Abdulrahman Musa; Mahmud Mohammed; Kabir Mohammed; Umar Danjuma; Ibrahim Musa Abba and Abdullahi Lawan accused of robbing three banks including the Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Alkalari branch in Bauchi State, on July 8, 2011 and bombing the Alkaleri Divisional Police Headquarters also in Bauchi State were before the court on a 13-count charge under the Terrorism Prevention Act, Law of the Federation of Nigeria.
According to reports, they allegedly stole N17, 830, 136 from Union Bank, attacked Intercontinental Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank, in Azare and stole N36, 446, 750.
The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, in Abuja on Thursday, released the latest information on the suspects who were arraigned on Wednesday.
The seven suspects apparently responsible for another operation were believed to have killed four people, including three Police officers and were also incriminated with possessing various dangerous weapons and explosive supplies.
The court adjourned the case to April 10 to enable the suspects get a lawyer to defend them, thus they did not enter a plea.
