Nigeria is beset with electricity challenges that do not appear to have an end in sight. So we fall back on inverters and generating sets to get us through life. Even with these unfortunate circumstances, there is a proposal by power distribution companies to increase the electricity tariff by 200%. Dolapo Oni, the Head Energy Research at Ecobank Group, shares his thoughts on the potential effect of such an increase.
