Democrats certainly think so. Never mind that Comey has been their least favourite person, whom they reckon cost their candidate, Hillary Clinton, the White House. Comey’s sin was waiting 11 days to the presidential election to re-open ‘Hillary’s emails’ investigation. He also did not announce that the FBI was looking into Trump’s Russian ties until when it did not matter so much.
Still, the Democrats are aghast at Trump’s decision because Comey is the only “apolitical” person they trust to prove once and for all whether or not Trump has any ties to the Russians. Secondly, he is an Obama appointee.
Trump, on his own part, has been fed up with the Director over his dilly-dallying with Hillary’s emails. In 2016, Trump derided Comey for not recommending charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server.
But Comey did not do himself any favours Tuesday when he told Congress it found “hundreds and thousands” of Clinton emails on the computer of disgraced sexting congressman (and ex-husband of Clinton aide Huma Abedin) Anthony Weiner. Turns out there were just several.”
That was the straw that broke the camel’s back and Trump let him go, merely hours after Comey gave his testimony.
Democrats are making an uproar of it. As the Fix puts it,
“The fact Democrats have so few options to restart the Russia investigations now that Comey is out helps explain why some immediately made some pretty eyebrow-raising accusations about why Trump fired Comey.”

Running scared
The President's firing of Director Comey is a smoke signal. And where there's smoke, there's fire. And this is a bonfire.

Comey loyalists will now start leaking *everything* the FBI has been doing on Trump-Russia behind the scenes. This begins the end for Trump.

But Obama…
Did you read the letter from the Deputy AG Rosenstein (an Obama man by the way) recommending that Comey had to go?
— Russell Thompson (@RussCThompson) May 10, 2017
The Firing was recommended from the new Asst AG who was a Obama appointment to Maryland. The Information is coming from within the FBI

Trump gave Comey 4 months on top of the 6 months he already had to come up with something. He admitted yesterday there is no collusion.
