The All Progressives Congress has denied allegations by the Peoples Democratic Party’s spokesperson, Chief Olisa Metuh, that it was planning to destabilise the PDP.
APC’s publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said in a statement in Abuja on Friday, that it was impossible for his party to be making such moves especially when the party’s National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, had spoken against the recent wave of defection of politicians to the APC.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has called the attention of the security agencies and Nigerians to the spate of security breaches in the state, saying Governor Ayodele Fayose is responsible for the state of siege Ekiti people have found themselves.
Reacting to Friday morning blockade of entry points to Ado-Ekiti by the supporters of the governor, Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, in a statement said the governor ordered the blockade of the entry points to prevent the 19 APC lawmakers from accessing the House of Assembly to carry out their legislative duties.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has said that the party will provide a decent and credible opposition that will constructively proffer sound alternatives to the policies and programmes of the in-coming administration without recourse to insults, propaganda and deceit.
Metuh who stated this at an FRCN political programme on Thursday evening said the PDP would never insult or denigrate the office and person of the Nigerian President.
Former governor of Kwara state and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sen. Bukola Saraki, has said that he never collected any money from the Minister of Petroleum, Ms Deizani Allison Madueke to fund the campaign of the president-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buahri (retd).
Bamikole Omishore, the Special Assistant on Media and Advocacy to Sen. Saraki made this known in a post on the social media following allegation that Deizani Maduekwe funded the campaign of Buhari through Saraki.
