There are indications that 23 out of the 25 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly may dump the Peoples Democratic Party due to the recent dissolution of the state executive of the party and the failure of the party to fulfill the promises made to the lawmakers to impeach former Governor Murtala Nyako.

A source, close to the House, told our correspondent that the members had been considering the decision to defect following the recent dissolution of the state executive of the party by the National Working Committee of PDP and the manipulation of the list 0f ad hoc delegates in favour of a preferred candidate.

The lawmakers are said to be irked that they had been used to ensure the impeachment of  Nyako and grassroots mobilisation of electorate in favour of the party only for them to be snubbed in taking major decisions.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party has urged the All Progressive Congress and others to leave President Goodluck Jonathan out of the problems rocking the House of Representatives, stating that as elected representatives of the people, the President cannot be blamed for the APC woes.

APC had accused President Goodluck Jonathan of sabotaging his own Administration’s war against Boko Haram on the altar of personal vindictiveness and political desperation, an action that is unbecoming of a self-respecting national leader.

The party ‎was reacting to a statement by the APC where it laid the blames of the crisis in the House of Representatives as desperation on the side of the President.
