The United States Supreme Court has put a hold on the scheduled October 10 hearing on the constitutionality of President Trump’s travel ban, due to fresh travel restrictions from eight countries that will replace the one on the Supreme Court’s table.

However, the court would not cancel the case altogether but will allow both sides to file fresh briefs on Trump’s new order by October 5.
Meanwhile, New York Times’ Adam Liptak was of the opinion that “by cancelling the arguments, for now, the court signalled that it may never decide the case.”
