There are reports that a young man has been killed at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bauchi.
The voter was killed by a stray bullet on Monday afternoon when soldiers attached to the INEC office reportedly shot at protesters who had gathered at the location to ensure the sanctity of their votes. It is, however, not clear what generated the protests.
According to a Twitter user with the handle @TweetExecutive, the yet unidentified individual was shot by a military personnel within the premises of the INEC office in the state.
“Someone just got shot dead by a soldier at INEC office, Bauchi now,” he tweeted.
