President Trump keeps trying to tell us there’s no chaos, but we’re not sure who he’s trying to convince, Americans or himself?
Voters in a new POLITICO poll disagree with his tweet that there is no “chaos” in his White House, 60% of voters say the administration is running somewhat or very chaotically, in comparison with 33% who say it is running well.
The poll was conducted from Thursday till Saturday, which was before Anthony Scaramucci was fired as White House communications director and was already in the field when Reince Priebus left the chief of staff position. From the poll, it was deduced that voters have a generally low opinion of how the White House is operating. 29%, say Trump’s staff serves him well, compared with 39% who say his staff doesn’t serve him well.
Republican respondents on the other hand, see the Trump White House operating in a more positive light with 63% saying it is running well, while 34%, say it is running chaotically. In comparison, 12 percent of Democrats and 25% of independents who participated say Trump’s White House is running well with 80 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of independents saying chaos has taken over.
The poll surveyed 1,972 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
