Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar is still in the habit of donating to charitable causes despite losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries to Muhammadu Buhari.

He made a $100,000 donation to Internally Displaced People’s camp in Yola, Adamawa state, where his American University of Nigeria is also said to be involved in charitable endeavours.

Atiku’s donation was not officially announced by his office but sources in the former Vice President’s team confirmed the gesture.

Atiku had, weeks ago, donated over $150,000 to the treatment of a girl who was sick with blood cancer – an act which was widely believed to be a publicity stunt to shore up his chances during the APC presidential primary campaign.

  1. Atiku is the Man. sometimes i just wonder, ‘may be Nigeria is not yet ready for the kind of change Atiku has to offer, may be there need to be some preparing ground.’ that’s just my thought of course. Atiku We see you, even though a few are yet to comprehend your act of generosity and patriotism, we see you and we are with you.

  2. This is a welcome development from the man of the people who is always ready to help the common man, i believe strongly that you still have Nigerians at heart. God bless you as we are still praying for change.

  3. This can only come from Atiku Abubakar, The statesman that always gives back to the people and has the interest of the people at heart.
    Kudos Turaki Adamawa.
Is a pity the APC had other plans regarding the party’s presidential ticket, That not withstanding I believe GMB can still bring out the CHANGE Nigerians need desperately.
    Long Live Turaki.
