Shots have reportedly been fired outside the UK Parliament building leaving some persons injured.

The sounds has led to the lockdown of the parliament and the Palace of Westminster.

Journalists say at least two persons were injured.

It was also reported that a police officer had been shot, while a man wielding a knife was seen on palace grounds.

The affected area has been cordoned off by police.
