A bureau de change operator, Murtala Abubakar on Monday told a Federal High Court in Lagos that he received $4 million in cash from Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, a former Special Assistant on domestic affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

Abubakar said he received N1.6 billion through five companies belonging to the defendant between 2013 and 2015.

The companies are Pluto Properties and Investment Limited, Avalon Global Property, Rotato Interlink Services, Seagate Property and Ebiwise Services Limited.

The witness said he has had a forex transaction relationship with Dudafa since his days as a Commissioner in Bayelsa.

“He (Mr. Dudafa) usually send two of his staff, Festus and Jahman, with dollars in order to change same and deposit the naira equivalent into specific accounts he provides via text messages,” Abubakar said.

Abubakar said Dudafa handed him $4 million at the Presidential villa during the last transaction.

“I can confirm that all the dollars received during the transactions came from him,” Abubakar said.
