The eldest son of late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, has been accused of disloyalty and abandonment of his primary post.
The Ciroma of Kano, Lamido Ado Bayero, the eldest among late Ado Bayero’s sons, was tipped to succeed his father, but former Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido, his cousin, was crowned Emir.
Leadership reports that Kano Emirate Council is prepared to issue a final warning to Ciroma Bayero for being disloyal to the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
The report stated that a letter had been written over Ciroma Lamido alleged disloyalty to Muhammad Sanusi II, and the emirate council.
Family members are said to have taken up the initiative to advise and persuade Ciroma Lamido to pledge his loyalty to the new Emir and go back to his primary post or face dethronement.
