Gambian President, Yahya Jamme who has ruled the small West African country for 22 years conceded defeat to Adama Barrow after losing his fifth reelection bid.
The move had surprised many as he was expected not to step down even after losing the election.
“ilI am calling you to wish you all the best, the Gambian people have spoken and I have no reason to contest the will of Almighty Allah,” he said.
