Investigations into Ronke Shonde’s: “The actual thing that killed her” is not yet clear

The controversy surrounding the death of Ronke Shonde, believed to have been murdered by her husband, Lekan after a domestic fight continues.

Lekan was accused of beating his wife to death after her lifeless body was found locked in their Egbeda, Lagos home with their 2 children while he was on the run from the police.

In the ensuing hunt, Lekan presented himself to the police after 3 days as a fugitive and was kept in police custody at the Panti police station.

However, according to Punch, the investigations into the cause of Ronke’s death seemed to have revealed that she did not die of any marks of violence on her contrary to the prevailing narrative.

Even though the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos said he is yet to get the autopsy report which was conducted to find out the cause of her death, a source told Punch on Tuesday, May 17 that “As of now, the report showed that the marks of violence on the victim have nothing to do with her death. Other areas are still being explored. The actual thing that killed her has not been stated.”

Since the tragic revelation of Ronke’s death, Lekan has continually denied any involvement in her demise.
