Lanre Shittu, the car dealer in the fake car documents scandal involving Senate President, Bukola Saraki has said the bulletproof Range Rover car was sold to the National Assembly and not to the Senate president.
Shittu, who appeared before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges said the car was initially bought for the company use but he was later approached by Wale Tinubu of Oando.
On the authenticity of the car documents, the car importer, Tokunbo Akindele said they only found out they were fake in 2017.
In 2015, we imported the bullet proof SUV for the company use, we later changed our minds, as we got an alternative.
