The Borno State government is set to remove over 5,000 of its indigenes who are in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, in Adamawa state.
The state government said the structures have been put in place for the Borno IDPs to return home to.
Usman Dukuwa, Borno Deputy Governor, revealed the development to journalists in Yola, during a visit to the IDP camp.
“l am here on the instructions of the governor to see our over 5000 IDPs and he asked me to tell you that in two weeks time we shall resume your evacuation back to your homes.”
“We have put in place things that will make you live comfortably again in your homes and villages.”
“The governor of Borno state has set up Ministry of Reconstruction and Rehabilitation to take care of the damages caused by insurgents”.
