My first thoughts in writing this piece was to reflect on the difficult moments of 2015, quickly, and repentantly I looked back at God’s Grace throughout my life’s journey and reminded myself there is always something, someone, some blessing to be grateful for. Gratitude should be an everyday mantra!
Every day, I wake up with a thankful heart!
2015 has been a year of lows and highs, valleys and plateaus, a roller coaster ride and new beginnings. The loss of my dad 7 years ago caused me deep pain and anguish.
However, it made me stronger, open to taking risks and trying new things, but beyond that, I learned to live for the moment. Fast forward to 2015, I lost my dear business partner, which was incredibly difficult.
Today, I am grateful that her dream is alive and the wonderful team at Sesema PR continues to uphold her legacy.
This year, mentoring young women fulfilled a need to give back, always an enriching experience second to my responsibility of role model to my teenage sons at all times. WISCAR has provided me a lifelong opportunity to explore my love for mentoring. I am grateful for this open door.
Successfully wearing several hats and fostering new partnerships/ relationships has been a humbling experience.
My gratitude overflows for wonderful new friendships, overwhelming support from colleagues, and my wonderful family.
I am grateful for the tenacity to never give up, to never quit; quitting is not in my dictionary! There is nothing my heart sets out to do that isn’t achievable with God on my side and strong self-belief and determination.
I am grateful for the disappointments, hard lessons learnt and new people I welcomed into my circle.
I am hopeful and grateful for 2016, exciting plans and projects loading. Let’s get it!
