The Presidency, has said that the widespread speculation that President Muhammadu Buhari may be moving the Aso Rock chapel, is false.
Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Laolu Akande, says the President should not be accused of trying to relocate the church, because of the ‘sorting out of some procedural issues’.
Perhaps, the Presidency is oblivious to the fact that vague expressions like – procedural issues- were what gave life to the rumours in the first place.
Reacting through his Twitter handle –@akandeoj, Akande said the claims were far-fetched and the criticisms, unwarranted.
1. Claims that @MBuhari moved against Christian activities in Aso Rock Chapel have since been shown to be false.

2. The sorting out of procedural issues cannot be a fair basis to accuse the President of moving against the Chapel. — Laolu Akande (@akandeoj) September 16, 2015
