Remember Azadus?
Of course you do!
Olalekan Fadeyi who was popularly known as Azadus – A Zealous And Determined Unbowed Soldier (bet you didn’t know that part) has the story of 10 (or more) other singing sensations you know. Born into a Christian home, he began his career in the church choir where he was admitted after a talent hunt. This was way back in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
In 1995, Azadus figured he’d done okay singing for the Lord so he joined the DEF “O”CLAN – a group that identified as a hip hop movement. They made a name doing shows like Jimmy Jatt’s Road Block, the Benson and hedges Grab the mMc competition, and Sun Splash.
Probably realising he was less hip hop and more R’n’B , Azadus began to branch, featuring alone on albums like Tony Tetuila’s Morning Time Plantashun Boiz’ Body and Soul (If these two don’t a wave of nostalgia down your system, you should be reading WAEC texts instead).
By 2000, he was already signed to Kennis Music where he released an eponymous album. You Is the One, Sodiyen, Say me well were all released at this time. He made two other albums afterwards and it would appear that’s where we lost him.

There were random photos of him shared on public online fora, a whiff of a fourth album mde with the likes of OJB Jezreel, Wale Thompson, Lord of Ajasa, and Bantu but he’s been done in the spotlight for the most part.
And then early this year, he showed up aagain. But it was only for an interview where he shared his thoughts on the dilemma stars face with those who throw themselves at them.
We wonder what he’s been up to and hope to God this photo isn’t what people have made it out to be :
