Honorable Ahmed Idris Wase, representing Wase Federal Constituency, Plateau has emerged as Deputy Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives.

The four-time lawmaker was Deputy House Leader in the 8th House of Representatives was returned for the position unopposed.

Wase had previously served as Executive Secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board and Chairman of the House Federal Character Committee
