The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari today shut down Maiduguri, Borno state.
Recall that the Borno State Government, Kashim Shettima, declared today a work-free day for his visit to the state to enable the people of the state welcome Buhari for his campaign rally.
The public holiday appears to have paid off as Borno residents trooped out en masse to welcome the people’s general.
