Following the demolition of Nuli Juice Company in Ikoyi by the Lagos State government over non-payment of certain permits to the tune of N40 million, Nigerians have taken to social media express their dissatisfaction.
While some questioned the rationale behind the decision others pointed out that such extreme actions only sends a clear and undiluted message that Nigeria is a difficult place to carry out business and invest in.
Never mind the recent revelation that the country is in recession and that the level of unemployment was at an all-time high.

Watching these guys bulldoze Nuli Juice and all the other stores there broke my heart. Surely there's a better way to handle this.

Just saw what happened to Nuli Juice. Exactly why my buddy warned against investing in Nigerian property. No rule of law/protection.

These demolitions often happen in less affluent areas of the country unreported by mass media. Hopefully, Ikoyi pain will help effect change

Who chooses to tear down a commercial building over dialogue/sealing because of a permit?
A country in recession.
