Dickson’s ambition is not a problem as Baylesa deny rift between Patience and state guv

Contrary to reports concerning a dispute between the First Lady, Patience Jonathan and the Governor of Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson, the state’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have said that all is well between the Jonathans and Dickson.

It was strongly believed that Mrs. Jonathan and Governor Dickson were not on good terms due to an alleged rift that suggested that the First Lady wanted a certain aide to take over from the governor in the state, while he (Dickson) still has intentions of running for another term in office.

The state PDP said that it is united behind the aspirations of both the president and the governor.

The party’s state secretary, Godspower Keku, while speaking on Wednesday said; “There is unity between the Governor and Mr, President. There is unity between the Governor and the people because the Governor is a performing Governor.

“All the projects are all around that is why the party is growing. There is no problem within the party. There is no problem and there shall never be any problem,” he said.

Keku praised the State governor for abiding by the party’s manifesto and fulfilling all that he had promised before he was elected. He claimed that for that reason, there can be no reason to oppose him.

“The Governor has not disappointed Bayelsa State. So we have a lot of things to show to Bayelsans. The opposition has nothing to campaign with,” he said.
