US President Donald Trump has said the GOP’s have done little to protect him from the Russian ‘witchhunt’.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Trump started by saying, “As the phony Russian Witch Hunt continues, two groups are laughing at this excuse for a lost election taking hold, Democrats and Russians!”

He then continued by saying that the Republicans whom he has supported have habitually done very little to protect him from the witchhunt.

He wrote, “It’s very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.”

It is not clear what the president was addressing, but Congress has yet to pass any of Trump’s key legislation, despite a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate.

Last week, Republicans in the Senate failed to garner enough votes to pass their legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare, though they may well try again this week.

Republican members of Congress are also participating in various investigations of his campaign’s interactions with Russia during the election season.
