Nigeria senior male basketball team, D’tigers have lost to Tunisia in a 65-77 bout at the finals of the 2017 Afrobasket Championship.

With the defeat, D’tigers have failed to defend the trophy they won in 2015 on the same ground.

Nigeria won the first quarter 14-8 but lost the second quarter as Tunisia took a 25-24 lead into the break.

The host won the third quarter 52-40, making it very difficult to get back into the game.

Tunisia wrapped up victory 77-65 in the fourth quarter to be crowned African new champions.
